All-team Meeting 2009-11-08
Hardware
- Most of the parts have come in: frame has been assembled
- Have designed shock absorber system for drive train (will order the rest of the parts and have it assembled by break)
- This week will also cut U-channel to mount the cases
Electronics
- Not much to report
- Need a 3U case for the computer
Software
- Fixed a compilation issue with the Python modules
- Took the robot out on Monday
- Using Andy's GPS
- Weird, weird bugs --- but hopefully fixed now
- Need the computer available all the time
Misc
- Suggested to talk the Development Office about getting a new monitor
- Tom to research a few models
- Discussion of timeline
- New frame will be ready for electronics and sensors soon (end of this week?)
- Electronics won't be ready until beginning of next quarter
- Decided that the transition will be made 2nd week of winter quarter, possibly into the 3rd week, during which time the robot won't be operational
