All-team Meeting 2009-11-08

Hardware

  • Most of the parts have come in: frame has been assembled
  • Have designed shock absorber system for drive train (will order the rest of the parts and have it assembled by break)
  • This week will also cut U-channel to mount the cases

Electronics

  • Not much to report
  • Need a 3U case for the computer

Software

  • Fixed a compilation issue with the Python modules
  • Took the robot out on Monday
    • Using Andy's GPS
    • Weird, weird bugs --- but hopefully fixed now
  • Need the computer available all the time

Misc

  • Suggested to talk the Development Office about getting a new monitor
    • Tom to research a few models
  • Discussion of timeline
    • New frame will be ready for electronics and sensors soon (end of this week?)
    • Electronics won't be ready until beginning of next quarter
    • Decided that the transition will be made 2nd week of winter quarter, possibly into the 3rd week, during which time the robot won't be operational
